1. Paris van java. The first and breakthru for cinema viewers' experience..
My first impression was just waoo...it's so different from 21 and XXI cineplex which have darker atmosphere now. Cozy lounge and high ceiling with friendly staff. Separated into 2 floors, with 4 big auditoriums upstairs and 5 small auditoriums downstairs. Too bad.. its sound system was not satisfy me (i watched The Departed at that time), the surround sound and subwoofer was so lame; plus, i was surprised with the thin seats like transjakarta bus. Lack of features/facilities than other branches. Easy to reach, located at the right wing of PVJ, and viewers could step up directly thru the escalators.
2. Grand Indonesia
The most spacious lobby, with bright, simple and minimalist design.
Of course, i come here most often other than 3 branches, even i've never used its wide-ranging paid facilities. The sound system is better than PVJ (but i ever experienced some sound troubles for a couple time) , and the seats are just the same like PVJ's. Just take the lift in the west mall and press 8th floor...
3. Pacific Place.
The smallest with most expensive ticket price but just so-so experience...hehehehehe..
With unspacious Lobby plus messy layout design . Reminds me walking thru the alley of death, just kidding..., i mean the ceiling is just too low in the violet atmosphere.
Again.. the sound system, surround speakers were not synchronized with front ones ( i watched national treasure 2). The one and only great thing is the thicker violet seats.
Located on the edge of 6th floor.
4. Mall of Indonesia. Larger version of Pacific Place.
With the same atmosphere like PP, only spacious lobby and high ceiling, and more comfortable layout design, but still a little bit confusing. Sound system is just like Grand indonesia's with no THX license. Has Two toilet doors side by side and written "FEMALE".
Okay, but there is still a toilet MALE, and it's just too small for big cineplex like this!
Located on 2nd floor of confusing Mall of Indonesia..
Consider from all kind of aspects.. lobby, design layout, sound system, location in mall, various facilities, and ticket price.
The winner is...Grand Indonesia, second is MOI, third is PP, and fourth is PVJ.
